Off-duty Tulsa officer assaulted, robbed

TULSA, Okla. (AP) – An off-duty Tulsa police officer has been injured after a robbery in a Brookside neighborhood.

The Tulsa World (http://bit.ly/1FxSui1 ) reports the 39-year-old officer and a 40-year-old were "physically assaulted" late Wednesday by three men who got out of a car. According to Officer Leland Ashley, the officer had her purse stolen and sustained minor injuries in the attack.

Police were only able to get vague descriptions of the men. The investigation is ongoing.
