A personal injury collision occurred at 5:18 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 44, the Will Rogers Turnpike, at mile marker 265 eastbound in Mayes County.

A 2005 Chrysler Pacifica SUV driven by Ralph E. Noel, 53, of Claremore was eastbound on the turnpike. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said that for an unknown reason, the vehicle left the roadway to the left, striking the center cement barrier wall head-on.

The vehicle then overturned a half turn, coming to rest on its top and travelling approximately 460 feet before coming to rest.

Noel was transported by Mesta Ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was admitted in good condition with head, trunk and arm injuries.
