Chamber Chat

Ponca City Now - June 7, 2015 9:00 am

It is Rodeo Week in Ponca City. So get out those boots and cowboy hats and let’s have a great time!

Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Team Radio and Marketing Group will host our June Business after Hours for all Chamber Members. Business after Hours will be held at their offices in the historic Poncan Theatre. All Chamber Members are invited to attend this fun come and go event.

The Chamber has a very active week ahead of us. We have Ponca City Business Council meeting Tuesday and a PRIDE Training for ENB employees on Wednesday. We are also excited to have several tour groups coming through to see our tourist attractions this week.

Here are some goals set by the Ponca City Business Council:

  • To plan and coordinate activities, including at least 4 educational workshops, to meet the current needs of business.

  • To recognize 12 outstanding business/partners during the year and make a recommendation for Business of the Year which will be recognized at the annual Chamber banquet.

  • To offer education on quality customer service through the PRIDE Program.

  • To coordinate “Shop Ponca First” programs such as the Santa Buck Giveaway.

  • To promote Crazy Days.

  • To promote and support the Chamber Buck program.

  • To publish the Ponca City Business Council Tip Sheet to be included in the Chamber newsletter.

  • To partner with the Chamber Ambassadors on the annual Goodwill Days.

  • To support ribbon cuttings, welcome new members to the Chamber and encourage all members to participate in the Ponca City Business Council.
