OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Former acting Chairman of the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, Calvin Prince III, is facing accusations of seeking sex in exchange for pardoning a woman he was counseling.
Prince is accused of exchanging emails and text messages with the woman while he was the Pontotoc County Specialty Courts Administrator.
According to a search warrant obtained by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, Prince counseled a court-ordered Divorcing Well Seminar the woman attended.
OSBI agents searched Prince’s phone and email and included the results in a warrant they returned to the Pontotoc County Court.
The court documents show Prince emailed the woman about the seminar and welcomed any feedback.
The woman responded with her thoughts on the seminar, and the conversation grew.
Prince then said he was on the Pardon and Parole Board and asked about her past and present situations, then offered to be her counselor.
The two exchanged texts and emails about their daily work, her personal relationship with her ex-husband, and mental health issues.
On Nov. 21, 2023, Prince sent an email saying he wouldn’t mind seeing the woman’s entire natural face and natural body.
According to the court documents, the woman sent him three nude images.
The two talked about her potential career possibilities like a welder, firefighter, or nurse, but the woman said she would need a pardon to follow any of those careers.
She told him she had charges for first and second-degree burglary and attempted kidnapping.
The next day on Nov. 22, she asked Prince if he thought a pardon was a realistic expectation.
At one point in the texts, Prince says, “A pardon is absolutely possible for you!!! I’m looking up your record now. I’m here at my office alone you should stop by.” Before that exchange, Prince had asked about the woman’s pubic hair and how often she shaved.
According to the court documents, the woman made excuses for not being able to stop by Prince’s office because he would expect to see her naked or have sex.
The affidavit states Prince’s position on the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board qualifies as being a public officer as it pertains to the Bribery statute.
The woman talking about getting a pardon, followed by Prince asking to see her pubic hair and wanting her to stop by his office while he is alone insinuates a sexual request in return for a pardon, according to the court documents.
