.Fire weather...
Strong south winds, hot temperatures, and low humidity will create
elevated to critical fire weather conditions this afternoon. A
Red Flag Warning is in effect for northern, western, and portions
of central Oklahoma as well as adjacent north Texas.

.Strong winds...
Strong south winds with gusts over 40 mph are expected today.
Gusty winds will continue into the overnight period.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday...

.Fire weather...
Strong south winds, hot temperatures, and low humidity will create
elevated fire weather conditions on Tuesday afternoon.

.Strong winds...
Strong south winds with gusts over 40 mph are expected to continue
into Tuesday.

.Thunderstorms...
Thunderstorms will be possible across much of the area Wednesday
and Thursday followed by lesser chances on Friday and Saturday.
Some strong to severe storms will be possible Wednesday afternoon
and evening.

THIS EVENING FOR STRONG WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY, HOT TEMPERATURES,
AND DRY VEGETATION FOR NORTHERN, WESTERN, AND PARTS OF CENTRAL
OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN NORTH TEXAS...

* WINDS...South 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent.

* TEMPERATURES...Up to 91.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* SEVERITY...

  FUELS (ERC)...70th-89th percentile...4 (out of 5).

  WEATHER...Near Critical...2 (out of 5).

  FIRE ENVIRONMENT...6 (out of 10).

TUESDAY...

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Garfield, Grant, Kay, Noble, Alfalfa, and Major Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 8 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
