Dennis Ray Lincoln passed away on August 25, 2024 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was 76 years old.
He was born in Pittsburg, Kansas on September 20, 1947, to Billy Raymond Lincoln and Glennora Jolene Harader. He grew up in Newkirk, Oklahoma, where his grandparents, Jay and Ruby Harader, helped his mother and step-father, John Hager, keep a watchful eye on him and his three siblings Jerry, Jayne, and Marty.
Dennis graduated from Newkirk High School, Oklahoma State Tech, Okmulgee, Oklahoma, and Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa, Oklahoma. The majority of his career, he was a refinery worker, retiring from Conoco Inc., Ponca City, Oklahoma after 30-plus years of service.
He and Mary Ann Stockton were married on March 11, 1967, at the First Christian Church in Peckham, Oklahoma. They raised their two sons, Charlie and Sam, in Tonkawa, Oklahoma. The highlight of his life was his family, taking them to special events or on vacation, and participating in activities with his boys and their cousins and friends.
Secondary, but also deeply loved were his extended family, his many many friends, muscle cars, car shows, local sports, music (especially The Beatles), and Woodlands Christian Church. He always had a smile and something good to say about everyone he met.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Ann Lincoln, of the home; son Charles Anthony Lincoln and wife, Jayma, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, son Samuel Ray Lincoln and wife, Jamie, of Edmond, Oklahoma; brother Jerry Robinson and wife, Ronni, of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, sister Jayne Hager Siedschlag and husband, Tom, of Wichita, Kansas, and sister Linda Lincoln Leach of Wichita, Kansas; grandchildren Cameron Villejos and husband, Damon, of Phoenix, Arizona; Chelsea Rennie and fiancée, Israel Aguilar, of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and Darian Palou and husband, Carlos, of Edmond, Oklahoma; great-grandchildren Kellan, Jensen, Jocelyn, and Waylon Hudson of Ponca City, Oklahoma. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren from well-blended families.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jolene Hager, his father Bill Lincoln, brother Jon Martin Hager, brother Billy Lincoln, and grandson Connor Reid Lincoln.
A memorial service for Dennis will be held Saturday, August 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlands Christian Church, 1400 E. Hartford, Ponca City, Oklahoma.
