Our beloved Sister and Mother Monica Hope Carver, was born on July 16, 1957, in Pawnee Oklahoma. Ms. Carver was raised both here in the United States and Overseas. Ms. Carver passed away at her home in Arlington, Virginia on July 13, 2024. Arrangements are being made to return her remains to Ponca City Oklahoma to be buried next to her beloved Mother Louella I. Standsblack on the Indian burial grounds in Ponca City Oklahoma.
Ms. Carver’s formal education was undertaken both in England and on the East Coast of the United States. Throughout Ms. Carver’s life, she traveled extensively, working and living never satisfied, and always eager for the next adventure. Ms. Carver was a master chef and loved to cook for her family a lover of Middle Eastern delights and Mediterranean cuisines she mastered those and many other Epicurean delights. Ms. Carver gained her work experience in the Hospitality industry as well as a Government Contracting Consultant. Ms. Carver’s greatest achievement was giving birth and being the mother to our beloved niece Roya Roberta Carver, whom she loved and cherished with all her being. Monica as she was known to her friends and family was our beacon, sometimes our mother, sometimes our friend but always a loved member to us all, we will miss her boisterous laughter, her genuine smile, her true heart, her giving nature, her love and lust for life, may you now fly amongst the moon and the stars without any further worry or stress. We make a promise to you that we will watch over your beautiful daughter Roya and that she too will have a full life as adventurous as you had and more.
Ms. Carver leaves behind, her Daughter Roya R. Carver (28), her sisters; Ms. Roberta Dawn Carver Carson (64), Ruby Roan Carver Camp (61), and Brother Roy Robert Carver (60), Delilah Ahadi (40), Marina Carver (42), Debbie Margerum (69), Karen Howe (67), Susan Cornell (64).
Ms. Carver is preceded by her Mother Louella I. Standsblack (1969) and her Father Roy R. Carver Sr. (2015)
The Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City is making all the arrangements. The Ponca Tribe Bereavement & Community Center will hold the Burial at the Ponca Cemetery.
Wake Services will be on July 19th, 2024, held at the Community Center / Bereavement Center Ponca Indian Tribe of Oklahoma
July 20Th 2024 Noon Meal will take place at the White Eagle Community Bereavement Center Ponca Indian Tribe of Oklahoma.
