The City of Claremore has received a film-friendly certification from The Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF+MO).

The certification was achieved through collaboration with Cherokee Film.

Filming locations across the Claremore area have begun to be used.

Projects like “A Christmas Present,” “Unplugging,” “Run with the Hunted,” “King Ivory,” “A Thousand Tomorrows” and “Reservation Dogs” are just a few that have been filmed in the area.

“The impact provided by the film industry has a ripple effect,” said Claremore City Manager John Feary. “It provides revenues across a community and other benefits that will be felt for many years. I am confident that the Oklahoma Film Friendly Certification will serve as a catalyst for future opportunities for our community, including support of local businesses and job opportunities for local residents.”
