High winds collapsed part of a wedding tent in northwest Oklahoma on Saturday.

That collapse sent around 30 people to the hospital, but all are expected to be OK.

There were over 100 guests in attendance to celebrate Gavin McCullough and soon-to-be Anna McCullough in Woods County on Saturday.

The ceremony was in Capron, Oklahoma.

The wedding party delayed the ceremony pending the weather, then the situation escalated quickly.

Video from the scene showed strong wind and rain outside the wedding tent before the camera panned and then the collapse began.

The McCullough family said that most people only ended up with scratches, cuts or bruises.

Everyone injured has since been released from the hospital except for one person taken to OU for a punctured lung.

The father of the groom, Randy McCullough, is a recently retired OHP Trooper and he thanked all the wedding guests for stepping in to help, with many of them being first responders themselves.

“Once everybody jumped in, took care of each other, once those that are injured got taken care of, everybody stuck around and said what do we need to do? Before we even left that night, the mess was cleaned up,” Randy said.

The family said they’re grateful the situation wasn’t worse. Randy confirmed the bride and groom are also OK and will eventually make plans for a new ceremony.
