KTUL - May 23, 2024 6:09 am

A lead drug trafficker for Pawnee County was sentenced today to 324 months of imprisonment, followed by 5 years of supervised release for drug conspiracy.

Jabier Bustos, age 35, was involved with the drug trafficking of more than 100 kilos of pure methamphetamine and other drugs including cocaine and fentanyl pills.

“With the collaboration of several law enforcement partners, more than 100 kilos of pure methamphetamine were stopped from being distributed into the Northern District of Oklahoma,” said U.S. Attorney Clinton Johnson.

Bustos will remain in custody pending transfer to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons.

“The importance of the defendant’s sentence cannot be overstated,” said Robert Melton, Assistant Special Agent. “He knowingly smuggled and distributed hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine and other dangerous drugs across Oklahoma.”
