An Edmond man will serve his fantasy football punishment by walking to the Paycom Center for the Thunder Playoff Game 2 on Wednesday, April 24.

James “Jimmy” Quinn placed last in his fantasy football league and will endure a punishment the rest of the league members decided on.

Quinn will walk from the downtown Edmond Railyard to the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, which is roughly 15 miles and is expected to take him 7 hours.

Quinn said, “I never thought I’d be in this situation. But, a bet is a bet, and I’m ready to face the consequences. I’m looking forward to the walk and the experience, even if my legs might not be too happy with me afterwards.”

He is expected to start the walk early in the morning on Wednesday and arrive at the Paycom Center before tipoff.

League Commissioner and Edmond Firefighter Tyler Smith said, “Jimmy is a true sportsman. He may be terrible at fantasy football, but he’s showing great spirit by embracing the punishment and making the most of it.”

Quinn also plans to document his journey on social media.
