Six arrested on drug charges after search warrant served

Just after 6 a.m. today, the Special Projects Unit, with assistance from the Police Department’s tactical team, served a search warrant on a home in the 400 block of South Ash. Six adults were arrested and two young children were removed from the home by of the Department of Human Services.

In the room right next to the children’s bedroom, Police found methamphetamine, needles, scales, firearms, prescription medication, marijuana and other paraphernalia. Nearly $5,000, believed to be drug proceeds, were seized during the search of the home.

Michael G. Gober, 24, is being held on charges of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school.

Jackey L. Matthews, 25, is being held on complaints of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Jessica M. Schiltz, 25, is being held on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of prescription medication with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of surveillance equipment while in the commission of a felony, maintaining a dwelling where drugs are sold, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and child endangerment.

Paul R. Surrency, 34, is being held on charges of methamphetamine with intent to distribute within 2000 feet of a school, possession of prescription medication with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute within 2,000 feet of a school, possession of surveillance equipment during the commission of a felony, maintaining a dwelling where drugs are sold, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, child endangerment and possession of drug proceeds.

Jesse L. Suggs, 24, is being held on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.

Zackery A. Riff, 21, is being held on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

Of the six arrested today, one claimed to be on disability and the remaining five told officials they were unemployed. All had prior arrests.

In the last two and a half weeks, the Special Projects Unit has made 29 drug related arrests in Ponca City. More arrests are expected.
