Linda Ruth Wilson

July 20, 1946 – February 25, 2024

Linda Ruth (Stroo) Wilson, age 77, of Perry, passed peacefully at home on February 25, 2024. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, at Trout Funeral Home of Perry.

Linda was born on July 20, 1946, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to Joseph Hendrix Stroo and Cleo (Langston) Stroo-Bryant. Linda married Gary Wilson on June 3, 1968. They enjoyed 54 years of marriage and together had two sons, Brian and Bruce Wilson. Linda cared for others as a registered nurse for many years before retirement.

Survivors include: son, Brian (Valerie) Wilson; grandsons, Aiden and Alex (Rachael) Wilson, four great-grandchildren; brother, Darrell (Kandace) Stroo; sister, Nell (Joe) Brunson; sister in law, Sandy Hentges (Harvey); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary; son, Bruce Wilson; and sisters, Mary Carter and Kathrine Barclay.
