Ponca City Police Department Looking for Shooting Suspect Andrew Quinn Pappan

On February 26, 2024, at approximately 1:35PM officers from the Ponca City Police Department responded to a report of a gunshot wound in the 2000 block of North 5th Street. Upon arrival, officers encountered a 19-year-old male in the alleyway with a gunshot wound to the left leg. Despite initial denial of being shot or having any injury, officers observed the wound and called Ponca City EMS.
Ponca City EMS arrived on the scene and provided medical assistance to the injured male. Subsequently, the individual was transported to the hospital for further treatment. At the hospital, the victim admitted to having been shot, but stated he did not know where the shot came from.
During the investigation, witnesses present at the scene were interviewed. Witness statements indicated that a verbal altercation ensued between the victim and a suspect, identified as 28-year-old Andrew Quinn Pappan. According to witnesses, Pappan allegedly shot the victim before fleeing the scene in a silver 4-door sedan.
The Ponca City Police Department is actively seeking Andrew Quinn Pappan for questioning in connection with the shooting incident. Pappan, as he is considered armed, and members of the public are urged to refrain from approaching him.
