Seven arrested in South Ninth search warrant

The Ponca City Police Department Tactical Team assisted the Special Projects Unit in a search warrant early this morning at a residence in the 1200 block of South Ninth Street.

A city park sits directly behind the home and that fact heightens the charges against all seven of those arrested, police spokeswoman Sherry Bowers said.

Just after 4:30 a.m., officers entered the home, Bowers said. A search of the residence yielded guns and illegal drugs.

Randy R Starnes, 62, was arrested on complaints of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamines, being a felon in possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of marijuana.

Charles R Linder, 59, was arrested on complaints of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

Alexis I Chavez, 18, was arrested on complaints of possession of marijuana.

Troy A Starnes, 25, was arrested on complaints of possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute after a former conviction, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after a former conviction, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of paraphernalia and being a felon being in possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony after a former conviction.

Lee O Coburn Jr., 30, was arrested on complaints of being a felon in possession of a firearm after a former conviction, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Coburn Jr was arrested in late December 2014 for similar drug charges and $14,000 in drug proceeds was confiscated.

Also taken into custody was Ebony D Phillips, 30. She is being held on complaints of possession of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of paraphernalia.

Emerilla N Starnes, 30, was arrested on complaints of possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony and maintaining a dwelling where illegal drugs are sold.
