Virginia Annie Eggers

October 8, 1931 – February 1, 2024

Virginia Annie Maine Eggers, of Morrison, Oklahoma was the daughter of Morris and Frieda (Piel) Maine. She was born October 8, 1931 in Perry, Oklahoma. She departed from this life on February 1, 2024.

Virginia was baptized at Christ Lutheran Church and attended the Christ Lutheran two room Parochial School through the 8th grade. She was confirmed in her faith on May 20, 1945. She attended Perry High School and graduated in 1949. She was employed at the Noble County Agricultural Stabilization Conversation Service and Farm Service Agency.

Virginia was active in the church choir, Sunday School teacher for many years, and a member of Christ Lutheran Church all of her life.

July 22, 1972, she married the late W.D. Eggers and moved to Morrison, Oklahoma. Virginia was a Charter Member and Historian of Morrison Tree Board, Sgt. of Arms in the Morrison American Legion Auxiliary, Christie Jones Unit #343, member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, Payne County Chapter #0183, served as secretary and bookkeeper for their Farm Supply Business, and helped friends when possible.

Virginia and her late husband, W.D. enjoyed spending time going to farm shows, sales, auctions, and attending agricultural seminars. They enjoyed their travels overseas as well as the USA and a Caribbean Cruise on Queen Elizabeth II.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Frieda Maine; husband, W.D., brother and wife, Ernest and Bessie Maine; son and wife, Delles and Audrey Eggers; son, Brent Eggers; granddaughter, Carrie Eggers.

She is survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 5, 2024 at 10 a.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Trout Funeral Home of Perry. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home of Perry, 1408 N 7th St, Perry, OK. 73077.

Pallbearers will be Martin Piel, Randy Shiever, Kirby Hayes, Ralph Voss, Dennis Maine, and Curtis Shimanek.

Honorary Pallbearers are Albert Bales, Phil Berkenbile, Glenda Corn, Michael Corn, Steven F. Cundiff, Barnables Eggers, Dietrich Eggers, Milton R. Eggers, Milton J. Eggers, Tim Eggers, William Gellerman, Dan Hamburg, Gwendolyn Joslin, Ian Joslin, Myrdin Joslin, Terry Keith, Jim Kukuk, Richard Kukuk, Wayne Reed, Jerry Karcher, and Janet Vincent.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church, Morrison Community Development Association (MCDA), Morrison American Legion Auxiliary Unit #343, Christ Lutheran Children’s Learning Center or a charity of your choice in care of Trout Funeral Home of Perry.
