Cherokee Nation ready to open new casino

SOUTH COFFEYVILLE, Okla. (AP) – The Cherokee Nation is preparing for the opening of its latest casino and has hired more than 100 employees to work at the new operation.

Cherokee Principal Chief Bill John Baker is expected to join other tribal leaders today to commemorate the opening of the Cherokee Casino South Coffeyville.

The $10 million development offers 300 electronic games and a dining venue.
