OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Sleet and freezing drizzle has transitioned to rain with a winter weather advisory expiring in Oklahoma.

The National Weather Service in Norman said Sunday’s advisory expired before noon.

Periods of freezing drizzle made roads and bridges in the state slick and hazardous Sunday.

Forecasters say cold temperatures will linger in the state through Monday and that periods of drizzle and sometimes light rain are possible through Tuesday.

Temperatures will be below freezing on Monday morning and any drizzle overnight will likely freeze on bridges and roadways.

Temperatures are expected to warm on Tuesday ahead of a strong cold front that is expected to bring cooler temperatures Wednesday.
