Sharon Faye Gregg was born to Clifford and Aline Hise on September 20, 1942, at their home near Covington, Oklahoma. She graduated from Covington High School in 1960, then pursued and graduated with a business degree from Central State University. She later worked for 22 years at the County Clerk’s office at the Noble County Courthouse, before retiring in 2008.
On August 18, 1961, she married her high school sweetheart, James Gregg, in Lucien and from then on they never left each other’s side; they were always together. James took care of Sharon throughout her illnesses, and even though it was hard at times, he says he wouldn’t trade it for the world. He loved her very much. She loved hummingbirds, sitting on the porch, and tending to her flower beds.
Sharon is survived by her husband, James, three children: Debbie (Ed) Blue of Yukon, Jamelyn (Gary) Schultz of Pond Creek, and Melinda (Richard) Cronister of Lucien. She is also survived by her sister Melody (Duane) Smith and sister-in-law Heather Hise. She loved her grandchildren more than anything, Kensie Meredith, Karly & Zack Rupp, Randi Kay Wright, Kelsea Schultz, Kori Schultz, Kobe Schultz & Hayven Justus, Kaden Schultz, Tyler Cronister & Cali Maguire, and great grandchildren, Alyna, Noah, Lucas, Joshua, Gracie, Ellie, Lottie, Halen, and Jack.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Myron Hise, and great grandson Jace Rupp. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Lucien United Methodist Church.
