DECA students win awards

Members of the Ponca City Public School DECA chapter took top honors at the state DECA Career Development Conference in Tulsa this week.

In addition to the student awards listed below, the Ponca City DECA Chapter also received State DECA Chapter of the Month and the National DECA Chapter Thrive Award, which was awarded to only two chapters in the state of Oklahoma. The winners will compete at the International DECA Conference in Orlando in April.

Cerena Chaney/Julia Hiatt – Finalist Sports Marketing Team

Ally Leist/Ash Patel – Finalist Hospitality and Tourism Operations

Jordan Childs/Bailey Rochelle/Andrew Neisen – Finalist Hospitality and Tourism Operations

Brad Robinson/Josh Spieres/Kevin Caughlin – Finalist Community Service

Karly Fisher – Finalist Principles of Marketing

Adam Nicholas/Michael Mongold – 2nd Place Sports Marketing Operations

Ana Subarianiam/Blair Didlake – 3rd place Travel and Tourism Team

DECA is an international organization that, through instruction and competition at the high school and collegiate levels, prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
