September 30, 1966 — May 2, 2023

Andrea Imogene “Immy” Warrior was born September 30th, 1966 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to the late Clyde Warrior and Della Cheryl Warrior. Immy entered eternal rest on May 2nd, 2023 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Andrea was an enrolled member of the Ponca Tribe of White Eagle, Oklahoma and was also of Otoe-Missouria descent.

She lived in Ponca City, OK, later the family moved to Albuquerque, NM where she attended Albuquerque Public Schools. She also attended St. Catherine’s Indian School in Santa Fe, NM and graduated from Santa Fe Indian school in 1984. At Santa Fe Indian School she served as the President of the Student Council and was voted most likely to succeed.

After high school Immy attended Haskell Nations’ University formally known as Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas where she also served as the Student Body President. Immy continued her education at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma where she studied accounting.

Immy worked in several professional capacities including at the Otoe-Missouria and Ponca bingo halls, Otoe-Missouria Housing Department as the Director, Director of Stillwater, OK Public Housing Authority, United States Census Bureau for Santa Fe County in New Mexico, and for the Southwestern American Indian Art Association.

Throughout her lifetime she returned to Oklahoma to participate in Ponca and Otoe-Missouria tribal cultural activities. She enjoyed dancing at powwows with her family throughout Oklahoma. She was a member of the Gives Water Service club.

She is preceded in death by her father Clyde Warrior, her maternal grandmother Kate Carson Roberts, her maternal grandfather Hudson Hopper, her paternal grandparents Gloria Collins and Lamont Warrior, her sister Mary Martha Warrior-Brown, her nephew Lamont Brown III, and niece Cheryl D Brown.

She is survived by her 3 sons James Hunter Warrior, Andrew Warrior, Dasean Liggins, Daughter Raven Littlecrow, grandchildren Adrianna Warrior, James Warrior, Anthony Warrior and Delbert “Smoky” Cole, Her mother Della Cheryl Warrior, sisters Kathleen Honahni and Gwendolyn Warrior-Ramirez, brother-in-law Lamont Brown II, her Aunt Addie Jo Tohee as well as many nieces and nephews and grandchildren.

Traditional Prayer Service and Wake are at the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Building in Redrock, Oklahoma starting at noon, Saturday, May 6, 2023

Services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. following traditional feast.
