Ponca City Offering Weather Notification System for Area Residents

Ponca City Now - April 27, 2023 6:30 am

Ponca City now has a new notification system that will provide information about incoming severe weather and other events you might be glad to know. The Ponca City Notification System went online last Wednesday, and already almost 1000 have registered for the service. This system will provide warnings of severe thunderstorms & tornadoes for our area almost the moment they are issued by the National Weather Service. In addition, a list of other important weather events is provided for you to select. And it’s not just about weather. We will soon be able to let you know of unplanned road closings and about how long it will take to fix your power outage.

If you have family members with vision or hearing disabilities, the message can be printed or read aloud to meet their needs.

You can check it out online at www.poncacityok.gov/pcnotification-registration.

Registration is open & takes just a few minutes.

How Do I Register?

Register by visiting www.poncacityok.gov/pcnotification-registration and entering your phone number and/or email address. You will receive a text or email confirming that you have opted into the alert system to receive notifications.

What if I change my mobile carrier and receive service through another company?

You will still receive notifications if your phone number has not changed. Ponca City Notifications will automatically detect your new carrier.

Notifications will originate from the following.

Voice Call: 580-767-0339

Your contact information will be used only for Ponca City Notifications. Your information will never be sold to a third party nor will it be used for anything other than the Ponca City Notification System.
