Scott Richard Stone

June 28, 1965 – March 23, 2023

Scott Richard Stone, son of Richard E. and Ruth V. Stone, was born in St. Louis, MO, on June 28, 1965. He passed away on March 23, 2023 in Ponca City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home & Crematory, 505 W Grand Ave, Ponca City, OK 74601.

He began elementary school in Independence, MO, and completed it in Oklahoma City, OK. After that, the family moved to Ponca City, OK, where Scott attended Jr. and Sr. high school, graduating with honors. He attended one year of college in Phillips University in Enid, OK. He later spent time in Wichita, KS, after which he moved back to Ponca City.

Scott was a skilled carpenter and he worked in carpentry and home construction and remodeling. He was a handyman who could tackle almost any project around the house and he enjoyed doing that for friends and family.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Stone. He is survived by: his mother, Ruth V. Stone of League City, TX; sister, Elizabeth Fuller, of League City, TX; nephew, Todd Fuller (Christina); nieces, Kara Addkison and Leah Jessup (Darren); 2 great-nephews and 4 great-nieces, all in Texas.

A private, family memorial is planned for a later date.
