Three vehicle personal injury collision in Tonkawa

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that a personal injury collision occurred at about 2:06 p.m. on Friday on Interstate 35 northbound near mile marker 211, approximately 1 mile south of Tonkawa, OK in Kay County.
The patrol said the accident involved a 2020 Audi Q5 driven by Michael Williamson (SIC), 47, of Yukon, OK. Williamson was not injured.
Two unnamed juvenile female passengers in Williamson’s vehicle were also not injured.
The second vehicle involved was a 2011 Infinity FX3 driven by Tammy Hall (SIC), 53, of Winnsboro, LA. Hall was transported by Blackwell EMS to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, where she was treated and released with head injuries.
The third vehicle involved was a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Vincent Hook (SIC), 32, of Tonkawa, OK. Hook was transported by Blackwell EMS to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS, where he was admitted in serious condition with leg injuries.
The Highway Patrol’s report stated that all three vehicles were northbound on I-35 entering into a lane closure. Hook’s vehicle struck Hall’s vehicle. Hall’s vehicle struck Williamson’s vehicle. Hall’s vehicle then departed the roadway to the left into the median striking the barrier. Hook’s vehicle and Williamson’s vehicle then struck each other, coming to rest in the right lane. Hall was pinned approximately 45 minutes before being extricated by the Blackwell Fire Department and the Tonkawa Fire Department utilizing the hurst tool. Seatbelts were equipped in all vehicle, but reportedly only in use by the driver and passengers in Williamson’s vehicle. Airbags were equipped in all vehicles, and reportedly deployed in Hall’s and Hook’s vehicles. The condition of all drivers is reported to have been apparently normal. The cause of the collision is attributed to unsafe spped.
