Kansas Bank Robbery Suspect Dead After Pursuit Near Perry

Kansas bank robbery suspect died near Perry Friday.

The Kansas bank robbery suspect who was involved in a pursuit with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Friday afternoon has died.

Troopers said they got a call about a bank robbery suspect from Kansas who entered in Oklahoma.

Troopers were able to track down the vehicle and were engaged in a pursuit.

Shots were fired as the suspect fled on foot in an area near Interstate 35 and U.S. Highway 412, OHP said.

The bomb squad has been called to the scene because the suspect claimed to have had a bomb in the vehicle, but troopers have since cleared the scene.

No troopers were injured during the pursuit.
