August 16, 1940 ~ March 17, 2023 (age 82)

Jimmy Feathers, 82, beloved Father, grandfather, and brother, was called to his eternal resting place on March 17, 2023. He entered this world on August 16, 1940, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma born to Henry and Ruby Feathers.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023, in the Carolyn Renfro Center with Pastor Justin Pickup officiating. Interment will follow in the Round Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 20, 2023, at Grace Memorial Chapel from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the family in attendance from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Casketbearers will be Daryl Buffalohead, Josh Glaser, Trevor Feathers, Colton Konell, Seth Buffalohead, and Xander Konell. Honorary bearers are Carl Porter, Adam Davis, Mark Wilson, Steve Minor, and Dave Wilson.

Jim married the love of his life Cindy Dodson on February 27, 1960, and to this union was born two children, Danny Feathers, and Cathy Feathers Glaser. Jim had many passions in life from chickens, coyote hunting, dogs, pigeons, rabbits, and so much more. Jim spent his working years as a butcher and produce manager at local stores until he took a job as Animal Control Officer for the City of Ponca City and retiring to do what he truly loved to do….Fish! Jim lived a wonderful life and was fortunate enough to spend 20 years of retirement doing everything he wanted to do.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his companion Deloris Avery, daughter, Cathy Glaser and husband Mark, Daughter in law, Lisa Feathers, grandchildren, Shawntia Feathers, Danielle Buffalohead and husband Daryl, Josh Glaser and wife Michelle, and Trevor Feathers, six great grandchildren, one great great grandson, brother, Elmer Feathers all of Ponca City, OK.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife: Cindy Feathers, son, Danny Feathers, brother, LeRoy Feathers and his parents and grandparents.
