Northern Oklahoma College is currently taking applications for “Soaring into Summer” which is being held on the Enid Campus, June 11-16.

Students entering the 8th or 9th grades are eligible to Soar into Summer by exploring the science and technology behind the scenes of a variety of fascinating aerospace applications.

The week-long residential Academy, will have students participating in various activities to learn about the science behind the aerospace industry. Students will be building rockets, testing turbines, touring aerospace related industries in the Enid area, and just having fun exploring science.

While the week-long schedule has not been finalized, the students will be participating in many hands-on activities and will be able to present and take home their work.

Jeremy Hise, NOC’s Vice President for Enid, indicated that the academy is free to the participating students who are selected from the qualifying applications and enrollment is limited to forty students.

Applications are being accepted through March 31, and the application can be found at https://www.noc.edu/academics/academic-divisions/engineering-physical-science-and-process-technology-division/exploring-renewables/soaring-into-summer/ or more information can be obtained by contacting Dr. Wood-Black at [email protected].
