Medics treated an officer after they were grazed by a bullet near Northwest 10th Street and North May Avenue on Monday, according to police.

Oklahoma City Police have confirmed that the officer was grazed by the bullet in the leg after his gun left his holster.

The officer was in a ‘scuffle’ with an individual at the Oklahoma County Crisis Intervention Center when this event occurred.

The police got a call stating that a patient was attempting to attack staff, according to police. Before arriving, the patient allegedly injured three staff members, at least one went to a local hospital to get their injuries looked at.

The patient was not injured.

Police are now investigating the situation and the names of the officer and patient are expected to be released this week.
