Betty was born to Herman and Hazel (Fisher) McDaniel on March 23, 1926, in Newton, KS. She married William “Bill” Snow August 24, 1946. They had two children, Terry and Janice, and were married 60 years. Betty worked at Howard’s (formerly Gibson’s) Discount Store for approximately 20 years and made many lasting friendships.
Bill and Betty enjoyed going to garage sales and collected a variety of items. Their most treasured collection is their 3000 toothpick holders, the majority of which are antiques. Betty was creative and known for her beautiful embroidery work which she framed and gifted to family and friends.
Betty and Bill were loving, caring parents whose lives centered on family. Even though their son and daughter had moved out of state, Mom and Dad would drop everything and drive hundreds of miles to Nevada and Colorado to help during illnesses and surgeries and assist with newborn babies. Betty instilled the importance of family in her children and grandchildren. We were so blessed to have her, and will miss her dearly.
Betty was preceded in death by: her husband, Bill; brother, John McDaniel; sister, Maxine Pickeril; and infant son, Michael. She is survived by: her daughter, Janice Cassell; son, Terry and wife, Judy; grandchildren, Marc Cassell and wife, Kelly, Matt Cassell and wife, Carol, Shawn Snow and wife, Whitney, Shannon Snow Kelm and husband, Charles; great-grandchildren; Adam, Austin, Madison, and Caleb Cassell, Ayden, Tatum, Emily Snow, Koen, Kaitlynn, Khloe Kelm; allso many nieces and nephews.
