Ivers Qualifies for State Tournament

Ponca City Public Schools - February 16, 2023 6:58 am

Ponca City High School Lady Cat wrestler Adisyn Ivers has punched her ticket to the state qualifier, making history as the first ever Lady Cat to qualify for the OSSAA State Tournament on Friday and Saturday, February 24-25 at the State Fairgrounds Arena in Oklahoma City.
Adisyn is a sophomore at Ponca City High School and will wrestle for third and fourth place.
“All year long we have had a confidence issue and I preached to the girls to just believe in themselves and they could accomplish anything they put their minds to,” said Karissa Muhammad, head coach. “Adisyn had a goal in mind today … she was going to punch her ticket to State. She believed in herself and did just that and became the first ever Lady Cat wrestler in history to make it to the State Tournament.”
