June 30, 1952 ~ January 28, 2023 (age 70)

Helen Beth (Hunter) McIninch, age 70 of Blackwell, passed away on January 28th, 2023 in Pawhuska, OK after a short illness. Her family members were at her side. Arrangements have been entrusted to Grace Memorial Chapel, Ponca City, OK.

Helen was born on June 30th, 1952 in Ardmore, OK the first of four children of Jimmie and Dolores Hunter (Johnson). At a young age, her family moved to rural Tillman County and she attended elementary school and junior high at Weaver Consolidated. The family then moved to Frederick, where she attended Frederick High School and graduated with the class of 1971.

On March 20th, 1978, Helen married Johnnie Lee Mitchell in Frederick, OK. He preceded her in death in 2010. This marriage produced 3 children, Megan, Harla, and John. She married Larry Thomas McIninch on June 14th, 2015 in Frederick, OK.

Helen was strong in her faith and attended Tesca Baptist Church. Helen worked for Sonic Drive-In, Centra Leather Goods, and for almost 20 years at the Frederick Public Schools Administration Office, retiring in 2001. She also worked for many years in billing and admissions at Tillman County Memorial Hospital.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Johnnie, brothers Jimmie and Allen Hunter, and a granddaughter Kara Beth Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband Tom of the home, and a sister, Loretta (Wayne) Coats of Robertsdale, AL. Daughters Megan (A.J.) Gillinger of Grapevine, TX, and Harla Enzenauer of Blackwell, OK. A son, John (Rachel) Mitchell of Blackwell, OK.

Grandchildren; Weston Barrett, Ashton Hicks, Morgan Gillinger, Ariel Enzenauer, Arlie Gillinger, Tracey Enzenauer, Caitlyn Gillinger, Cara Gillinger, Payton Gillinger, Timothy Mitchell, and Jackson Mitchell. 7 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Frederick Enrichment Foundation, 817 N. 15th St. Frederick, OK 73542.
