Bobby Dwayne Nichols passed away on November 16, 2022, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 56 years.

Bobby Dwayne Nichols was born on January 14, 1966, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the son of Robert E. Lee Nichols and Sheila Marcine Newland.

He married Nita Carolyn Vetter on August 26, 1985, in Blackwell, Oklahoma.

Bobby worked as a forklift operator at Mid-Continent Packaging in Enid, Oklahoma.

He loved fishing, hunting and being a papa. He was very involved with his family and their many activities. He enjoyed wolves, eagles, and listening to traditional Native American music.

Survivors include wife, Carolyn Nichols; children, Dwayne Nichols (Cindy Ann Weller-Nichols), Cierra Nichols (Kenneth Cyril Wood), and Tyler Nichols (Samantha Nichols); siblings, Rachel Garriott, William Nichols, Daniell Mowdy; mother, Sheila Nichols; father, Robert Nichols; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren; as well as many other extended family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by George Newland, Maggie Storts, Mabel Vetter and numerous other family members.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, at the Blackwell VFW. A potluck lunch will follow.

Memorial contributions may be made to any veteran’s organization of the donor’s choice.
