Burn Ban Issued for Kay County

Ponca City Now - October 11, 2022 5:33 pm

Kay County is under a county wide burn ban until October 24th due to extreme drought conditions.

No open burning will be allowed of any kind will be allowed.

Inside any city limits there is to be no burning in fire pits, burning of gardens or brush, or open burning will be allowed and no burn permits will be issued.

Any burning found will be put out immediately.

This burn ban does not cover outdoor cooking in a grill or smoker.

Please use caution when cooking outdoors.
