Ponca City’s 39th Annual Oktoberfest is This weekend

Ponca City Oktoberfest will be held this weekend on the grounds of the historic Marland Mansion. The festival will run October 1, 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and October 2, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

A number of talented local musicians will perform live from the Ponca City stage on the Grounds of the historic Marland Mansion throughout the weekend. Saturday’s music line-up includes Curtis Moore Band, Rusted Rose, Morrison 33, Band #9, M-Pyre, Deviney Smith Band,  and Dirty Erin. On Sunday it’s Corey and The Band of Fools, The Mike Seals Jazz Trio, Arm’s of London and The Guys.

In addition to the live music stage, there is a sports tent featuring multiple flat screen televisions, including a jumbo screen, showing all of the big games. Both are conveniently located next to the Beer Garden that features a variety of beers on tap, collector mugs and  steins, and a wine vendors.

Ponca City Oktoberfest is a family-friendly event.  Bring the kids to enjoy  inflatables, games, train rides, a climbing wall,  bungee trampoline, petting zoo, crafts, story time, and a variety of other things to entertain your kids.

Each year special guests make appearances to help entertain your children. This year the “Sanderson Sisters” from Hocus Pocus will be at Oktoberfest on Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Be sure to catch them for a meet and greet, photos, and autographs.

There is something for everyone at Oktoberfest. There are craft vendors, artists, jewelry, clothing, baby items, home and  yard décor, furniture, a large selection of food vendors, and much more.

The Ponca City Oktoberfest is a community event planned, organized and operated by a group of volunteers. The event is a fundraiser for the Marland Estate Foundation, whose mission is to preserve and restore the historic, architectural landmark and to educate others on the E.W. Marland story.

Don’t miss the greatest outdoor festival in the area. Admission is $5.00, children ages 8 and under are FREE.
