Sylvester Stallone is marking the end of production for Tulsa King, an upcoming Paramount Plus series shot primarily in Oklahoma over the past several months.

“This was a very long, difficult, exciting, mind-blowing production has just ended,” Stallone wrote on Instagram on Wednesday.

Despite the strenuous shoot, the actor known for iconic movie roles like Rocky and Rambo said it was time well spent.

“Though it was a long time to be away it was worth it to work with fantastic talent in front and behind the camera,” Stallone said. “I never worked so hard in my life and had so much fun.”

When the series debuts on November 13, Stallone said viewers will be in for something special.

“What we came up with is something extraordinary and life-changing for me,” he said in a video posted to Instagram.

Tulsa King is about 75-year-old mobster Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Stallone) who, after serving 25 years in prison for murder, is released home to New York, then unceremoniously banished by his former boss’s son to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

It also stars Domenick Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, and Max Casella.
