Fire Crews Battle 12 Suspected Arson Fires in Garfield County

GARFIELD COUNTY (KOKH) – Police are investigating a series of fires in Garfield County on Saturday that are suspected to be arson.

The first fire was reported at 5 p.m. on Friday by a local farmer between Douglas and Marshall.

Twelve separate fires were reported within 9 miles of each other.

Reports say no structures or animals were burned; however, 40 bales of hay were burned.

There are no suspects at this time.
