LOVE COUNTY, Oklahoma –

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has a 20-year-old man in custody in connection with a dispensary robbery in Thackerville last week that resulted in the death of one of the robbery suspects.

Clarence Hill, of Grayson County Texas, was arrested at 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Sherman, Texas. He has been extradited back to Love County, where Hill is facing charges of Murder, Conspiracy and Robbery.

The Border Buds at 22995 U.S. Highway 77 was open when Hill and another male forcibly entered the dispensary and indicated they wanted money and marijuana. The second male showed the clerk his gun and the clerk informed both men he was also armed. The armed robber fired at the clerk who then returned fire hitting the robber and killing him. Hill took off after being shot in the foot during the incident. The clerk, who was uninjured, then called 9-1-1 to report the incident.

Information called into the OSBI tip line led to Hill’s identity and arrest.
The ME’s office continues the process of positively identifying the deceased robber.

OSBI Special Agents are grateful for the assistance from law enforcement partners with the Sherman, TX Police Department, Grayson County, TX Sheriff’s Office, Chickasaw Lighthorse Police Department and the Love County Sheriff’s Office.
