Senate Health and Human Services Chair Paul Rosino

OKLAHOMA CITY – Senate Health and Human Services Chair Paul Rosino, R-Oklahoma City, issued the follow statement Friday after the U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade:

“Life is a gift from God, and as chair of the Senate Health and Human Services Committee, I’ve had the honor of hearing and passing legislation defending life.  So many of us have hoped and prayed for this day, and worked to ensure that when it finally came, we’d be prepared with laws that will protect the lives of innocent babies.

“We cannot forget that more than 60 million babies in this country have been slaughtered since Roe v. Wade was handed down in 1973.  We should remain prayerful for those lives lost, and grateful that now Oklahoma will lead the nation in the defense of life.”
