OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Two Oklahoma attorneys face criminal charges over an alleged medical marijuana scheme. Oklahoma Attorney General John O’Connor announced charges on Thursday against 56-year-old Logan Jones and 41-year-old Eric Brown
The charges resulted from a monthslong investigation by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and the state’s multi-county grand jury. The charges allege that the two attorneys had employees of their firm act as ghost owners for out-of-state residents seeking to get into the medical marijuana business. State law requires medical marijuana businesses to be at least 75% owned by state residents.
Messages left Thursday with the attorneys and their law firm weren’t immediately returned.
