Sooners Take Game 1 In WCWS Championship Series In Dominant Fashion

OKLAHOMA CITY – 

The Sooners are looking good heading into game 2 of the Women’s College World Series Championship after dominating Texas 16-1 in game 1 Wednesday night.

The Sooners got down by a run early, but that lead disappeared quickly.

By the end of the 3rd inning, the Sooners had hit four home runs and had taken a commanding 10-1 lead over the Longhorns.

The Sooners added two more in the bottom of the 4th to extend the lead to 12-1.

Back-to-back home runs in the 5th inning stretched the lead even further to 14-1.

The Sooners added a couple of insurance runs in the 6th making it 16-1.

Jocelyn Alo finished the game with 2 home runs and 3 RBIs. Tiare Jennings added another 2 home runs and 5 RBIs.
