The Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department (OTRD) is partnering with the Oklahoma Film + Music Office (OF + MO) to host an open call for a singer to record a pre-selected song to be used in a tourism campaign.

The tourism campaign will showcase the extraordinary vocal talents found in the state of Oklahoma.

Applicants must download the provided song lyrics and tack to record a segment of the song to upload for consideration. The applicant then must upload the song to a website, such as Dropbox or YouTube, and then provide the link in the application.

The selected musicians will receive a financial compensation of $10,000 and the song will be used in a multi-year Oklahoma tourism campaign both in and out of Oklahoma. The musicians will also be featured in OF+MO’s monthly newsletter that reaches over 9,000 people.

Musicians in any genre are welcome to apply, but the song does has a pop-influenced sound.

The call for musicians is open to all Oklahoma residents.
