Ponca City Herb Festival to be Held First Saturday of June
Ponca City Now - May 13, 2022 10:20 am
The preparation for the 29th Annual Ponca City Herb Festival is underway. The event is scheduled for Saturday June 4th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
On the first Saturday of June, more than 100 vendors from several states bring their goods to be offered for sale at the gorgeous 10-acre Cann Memorial Botanical Gardens on the corner of 14th and Grand avenue. Native and exotic plants and herbs and other gardening related items will be available.
Shoppers are encouraged to bring their wagons because the event will also showcase handmade jewelry, Oklahoma t-shirts, pickles, home sown items, quilts, herbal vinegars and oils, special seasonings & spices, handmade candles, baskets, soaps and so much more.
Returning this year will be gardening and herb related seminars, held from 9 to noon on the patio. Suzi Lenhart of Miss Suzi’s Singing School will return Saturday at Noon.
Grab a snack from one of several food vendors and take a break on the patio while listening to some great music.
The Kay County Master Gardeners are back with their ‘Plant a Plant’ booth for children. Children are encouraged to learn about the joys of gardening with the making of almost 500 planted pots.
The Herb Festival is hosted by and benefits Survivor Resource Network. SRN is the community resource and response agency for Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking and Trafficking Survivors.
