Registration Closes This Sunday for Scooter and Skate Board Camps

The Parks and Rec Department will be hosting a youth scooter camp for ages 8-14 years for youth interested in learning how to improve their skills on a scooter. The instructor led camp will help youth learn the techniques and skills fundamental to scooter riding.

The Parks and Rec Department will also be hosting a youth skate camp for ages 8-14 for youth interested in learning how to skateboard. The instructor led camp will help skaters learn the techniques and skills fundamental to making a great skater.

For those who need the necessary gear including scooters, skateboards, pads, and helmets, they will be provided.

Camps will be held at Dan Moran Skate Park May 24th and 31st and June 7th and 14th.

Cost is $40 per person.

Youth Scholarships are available for those who need assistance with cost. Apply in person with a parent or guardian at the Rec Plex at 1604 West Grand. For those who qualify for a scholarship, the cost will be just $15. Call 580-767-0430 for more details.
