Po-Hi Symphonic Band Attends State Band Contest

The Po-Hi Symphonic Band attended the OSSAA State Band Contest on Friday, April 15 at the Jenks High School Performing Arts Center.
The judges offered several positive comments about the Ensemble, and noted the Band’s preparation and execution during the Sight Reading portion of the event.
Mr. Orr was pleased to say, “I am exceptionally proud of the Po-Hi Symphonic Band for their outstanding work at today’s State Contest. The students should be commended for how they played both on Stage and in the Sight Reading Room. They also represented our community with Pride and Class.”
The Band is under the direction of Andrew Orr, Connor Pratt, Britany Lawrence, and Student Teacher, Joshua Chrisman.
The next performance of the Po-Hi Symphonic Band will be May 17 at 7:00 PM in the Ponca City Schools Concert Hall. The community is invited to attend this free performance.
