Lincoln Elementary Teacher Named PCPS Teacher of the Year

Sherrie Webb, Lincoln Elementary first grade teacher, was named the 2022-2023 Ponca City Public School Teacher of the Year during a celebration at the PCPS Concert Hall.
Webb has been teaching for almost 14 years
“I’m speechless because all of these teachers being recognized tonight are awesome,” said Webb during her acceptance speech. “You guys are complete rock stars.”
“We’ve all had a tough couple of years and there have been times when I was honestly ready to walk away but it was always about those kids. They needed me and I needed them more than they knew,” she said.
Webb was also given $500 from the Ponca City Public School Foundation for winning.

Other finalists included Aimee Clark, kindergarten teacher at Union Elementary, and Leanne Smith-Parr, language arts teacher at Ponca City High School.
