OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – The state of Oklahoma has received a $2 million dollar grant to improve the quality and affordability of health care.
The state had applied for the State Innovation Model grant in July.
Beginning Feb. 1, 2015, the state will begin a 12-month project to design a model that will improve health system performance, increase quality of care and decrease costs of health care.
State Secretary of Health and Human Services and Health Commissioner Dr. Terry Cline says the focus will be on community health systems.
