Gloria Faye Randall, formerly of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died Friday, February 11, 2022, at Mercy Hospice in Oklahoma City at the age of 94 years.

Gloria Faye Randall was born December 21, 1927, in West Midland, Western Australia, to Victor A. and Marion (Lang) Short. She grew up on a military post in Guildford, West Australia, in the days that they had horses and remembered the names of the show horses more readily than her school friends. She loved to ride horseback and won many awards in Australia. She met Lewis W. Randall when he was serving in the United States Coast Guard in World War II and was stationed in Western Australia. They were married June 25, 1947, in the First Presbyterian Church.

She attended Guildford Public School and graduated from Perth Finishing School in fashion and design in 1945. She also graduated from nursing school as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Woodward, Oklahoma, in 1965. She was a twenty-year volunteer for the Red Cross and also served as a volunteer at the museum. She knit many caps and made quilts for newborns at Blackwell General Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lewis Randall; a daughter, Karen Faye Dandridge; a brother, Dr. John Short; and a sister, Joan Clamp

She is survived by two sons, William Randall and wife Regena of Oklahoma City, and Robert Randall of Kaw City; seven grandchildren, Dustin Randall of Oklahoma City, Lori Ann Shaw and husband Craig of Yukon, Tracy Bacon and husband Alex of Oklahoma City, Michelle Foster and husband Conan of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Roxanne Kirby of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Elizabeth Kirby of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and Amy Jean Artman of Buena Vista, Arkansas; and twelve great grandchildren.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 19th at the Blackwell Cemetery with burial in the Blackwell Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A memorial has been established in her honor with the First Presbyterian Church in Blackwell in c/o Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 120 W. Padon, Blackwell, Oklahoma 74631.
