James Dean Lively of Blackwell, Oklahoma, died January 17, 2022, in the Stillwater Medical Center – Blackwell at the age of 80 years.
James Dean Lively was born on December 5, 1941, in Blackwell to Leland Walter and Eleanor Viola (Vannoy) Lively. He graduated from Deer Creek High School in 1959. He married Glennis L. Van Fleet on June 3, 1960, in Blackwell. He worked for the Blackwell Zinc Company, Ambrose Gas Company and Conoco. He enjoyed motorcycle trips and watching the Oklahoma Sooners play football. He also enjoyed country music and traveling to Branson to enjoy the entertainment there. His greatest love was spending time with his great grandkids and attending their sporting events. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Jesse Lively and wife Amber of Ponca City, and Kayla Wine of Blackwell; his siblings, Ginger Williams and husband Maxie of Deer Creek, Nancy Stuchlik of Louisiana, and Leon Lively and his wife Linda of Ponca City; and great grandkids, Isaiah, Makila, Ava and Eleanor.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 4th in the chapel at First Baptist Church in Ponca City with Brent McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in the Blackwell Cemetery.
