Oklahoma COVID hospitalizations top 600, most since October

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The average number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Oklahoma has topped 600 for the first time in more than two months as the number of coronavirus cases rise once again in the state.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health on Friday reported a three-day average of 616 virus hospitalizations, the most since October 25th.
The department initially reported 3,003 new cases on Friday, but later revised the number to 1,711. Interim Commissioner Keith Reed said the larger number was due to duplicated test results in the department’s electronic lab reporting system. The department also revised the seven-day average of new cases downward from 1,561 to 1,376.
