Ponca City Public Schools-

Three seventh graders from West Middle School attended Red Carpet Honor Band auditions on November 13th. The students competed against other seventh grade band students from around our region of Oklahoma for a spot in the Red Carpet Honor Band.

Henry O’Neil earned 1st chair saxophone, Dhruvika Adhikary earned 1st chair marimba and Arianna Russell earned 1st chair timpani. Not only did every WMS student that attended earn a spot in the band, they all also earned the highest possible spot for each of their instruments, scoring higher than all over seventh grade students for each group.

Henry, Dhruvika and Arianna will represent Ponca City and WMS by performing with the Red Carpet seventh grade honor band for their annual performance at NWOSU on January 15th, 2022.
